On your way, expect to pass by Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to spot rare white rhinos before proceeding to the Murchison falls national park. Day 1: Drive To Murchison Falls Through Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
In the morning you will be picked up early at 6:00 am and enjoy an early morning drive to Murchison Falls. The area is situated in the north part of Uganda bordering the Nwoya districts, Gulu and Masindi. This early morning road trip will take 6 to 7 hrs with an en-route pull over at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This is the only place where you will have unlimited opportunities to spot the famous white rhinos. The tour will continue to the park with a quick stop for lunch in Masindi town, after lunch the trip will Continue to the park and directly head to the top of Murchison Falls. This is a spectacular place to be as you will feel the power of garrulous falls bursting on the rocks and be amused by the eye catching views of the park while admiring the beauty of the place through pictures taking. You will have some time to relax after a long tiresome journey and later will drive to the Murchison River lodge for dinner and overnight. (FB)
Day 2: Game Drive And Nile Cruise
On this day, you wake up early in the morning and transfer to the Northern part of the Park. You will have a great time enjoying a 3-hour game drive. At this early hour we are likely to spot a large herds of giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, different species of antelopes, warthogs, hippos, bushbucks and diverse bird species. If God’s will is in our favor, you are likely to encounter lions and possibly leopards. You will enjoy lunch and short resting at the delta and then drive to the Nile to enjoy a 2-hours boat cruise. On the tour there are unlimited possibilities to encounter diverse land and water animals including Nile crocodiles and bird species. It is normally possible to see animals like elephants, and buffaloes resting on the river banks. Peculiar birds like African fish, commorants, fishy eagles, geese, pelicans and egret can be seen around the area. For the clients who opt for hiking, as they reach close to the base of the falls, they will get off the boat and begin their climbing up to the top of the falls and the others will commence a return trip to the shores. Hiking to the top of the fall normally takes about 40 to 50 minutes and meeting the guide at the top. Later the trip will drive to the Murchison River lodge for dinner and overnight. (FB)
Day 2: Transfer Back To Entebbe/ Kampala
After waking-up and enjoying your breakfast, you will be picked up from the lodge and transferred back to Kampala/ Entebbe. End of trip
